About »
Hello! I am a designer based in Indianapolis, IN. I reside on the East Side, 8 minutes from downtown, in a small two bedroom house with my three dogs. As a designer my focus is in both print and web design as well as photography. I majored in Visual Communication at Herron School of Art & Design. I am currently a member of the design team at MediaSauce in Carmel, IN. I first started designing websites in 2001 as a hobby, a way of passing the time. After winning a contest to receive free hosting for my first website I became inspired and I developed a relationship with Ohio based record company Nice Guy Records. By the end of 2004 I was one of Nice Guy Records primary graphic designers, I was working within the local Indiana music scene designing flyers and t-shirts for bands and had started my first of two co-owned businesses, This Is Hope LLC developing apparel and other media that reflected upon a series of short stories based on the exploration of "What is hope?"
The passionate entrepreneur within me pressed on and in 2007 I started my second co-owned business, Flood City Studio LLC, providing screen printing, web & print design, photography, and video production services. The company that first began in my apartment living room three years ago catering services through word of mouth now works with and provides services to local bands, national touring acts, non profit organizations, sports teams and doctors offices. I have been awarded for my design work at both regional and national levels in multiple competitions over the past few years.
I am well versed in both the design and development aspects of the web. I am experienced with full color (CMYK) printing, digital printing, spot color printing, and screen printing. I am capable of working within print specifications or creating custom package designs. At the age of 23 I am yearning to advance, to push myself to defy limitations and expectations.
My tool bag includes Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Canon 5D, strobe lights, Canon 430EX, Aperture 3.0, Text Wrangler, Flash, XHTML, CSS, PHP, WordPress and an archived collection of old books, textures and imagery dating back to the 1970s. I look for inspiration down whatever path the project takes me in with an open mind and with eagerness to begin.
